Paw It Forward Dog Training, LLC offers the ONLY Flexible Format Open Enrollment Basic Obedience classes taught in this area. We offer a weekday package and a weekend package for classes. Classes are taught in stations and we will help you teach your dog at each station until you are comfortable with your progress. Station 1 covers: Sit, Watch Me, and Sit/Stay Station 2 covers: Down, Watch Me and Down/Stay Station 3 covers: Impulse control, Leave It, Watch Me, Wait nicely. Station 4 covers: Walk nicely on a loose leash, Watch Me, Come when called. Beginning Skills . Sit: Dog learns to sit on cue. . Watch Me: Dog learns look at you when told “Watch Me”. . Stay. – Dog learns to stay in a sit position until released by you. . Down: Dog learns to lay down until released. Come when called: Some fun effective ways to make sure your dog comes . to you when called. Learning Manners . Leash Manners – Walk nicely on a leash without pulling. . Greet nicely without jumping on people. . Wait: Wait nicely until invited into a specific space. Leave It: Leave an object indefinitely and get a reward. Purchase 6, 8 or 12 classes. Dogs learn better when they are rewarded for doing the right behavior instead of being punished for doing the wrong behavior. We work on good positive leadership training and how to effectively communicate with your dog. Add in a lot of fun! Puppy Socialization Classes: For puppies 8-16 weeks held every Tuesday at 3:45 pm. This class is open enrollment and consists of 5 sessions. This class is taught off leash where puppies can socialize with each other, owners learn what is acceptable play and what is not, how to properly introduce your puppy to other dogs and humans, name recognition exercises, we discuss preventing problem behaviors such as: Puppy Nipping, jumping, chewing, house training and crate training while having fun with the dogs.
